Chubb Recognized as Caring Company for Three Consecutive Years



HONG KONG, April 30, 2009 — Chubb is committed to contributing to its communities through charitable activities. In December 2008, The Hong Kong Council of Social Service awarded Chubb with the "Caring Company 2008/09" designation, marking the third consecutive year that Chubb has received this honor. Chubb is part of UTC Fire & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

“We are delighted to have received the Caring Company Award for a third year in a row as part of our commitment to the safety, security, health and well-being of our communities,” said Mark Brisson, Managing Director of Chubb Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan.

This recognition reflects Chubb’s ongoing community commitment and involvement. Chubb has partnered with the YWCA to help unemployed individuals adjust to economic changes, enhance their skills and increase their chances of employment. In 2008, Chubb organized and participated in several charitable programs including a tree-planting activity together with our sister companies Otis Elevator and Carrier Air-Conditioning, as well as the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals’ Charity Games Challenge.
